Urs and other functions :
No where at any Shrine in the sub-continent
such a large number of functions and ceremonies are held, as are celebrated at
AJMER in the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A.) and that too in
a very significant way which is strictly in accordance with the Chishtia precepts
annually. Not only the Urs of the Holy Saint but the Annual Death Anniversaries
(airas) of prophet, (S. A. W.) four pious caliphs and all the famous predecessors
and successors (Saint) of Khwaja Saheb are also celebrated in a magnificent way.
Special functions are held on Eid Meeladun Nabi, (12 days) Urs of Khulfas, and
Ghaus Paak (Giyarahwin Sharif). Shab-e-mairaj, Shaban-e-Moazam, and Urs of Hazrat
Khwaja Gharib Nawaz. Special programmes are also held during Ramdhan-ul-Mubarak,
and in Moharam, the special Majlis in the memory of Hazrat Syed Imam Hussain is
also held, for 10 days. Announcements

am glad to inform you that the 795th urs (Death Anniversary) of HUZOOR KHWAJA
GHARIB NAWAZ (R.A) AULIA ALLAH will be held from 1st to 6th RAZAB corresponding
to :- 16 to 21st of july 2007 depending upon the visibility of Moon. Inspired
by the spiritual command of the PROPHET MOHAMMAD (S.A.W), Huzoor Khwaja Gharib
Nawaz (R.A) became the harbinger of peace and prosperity not only in India but
in the whole world and people use to attend the shrine of Gharib Nawaz (R.A) with
their heartfelt desire and cherished wishes and return used to go brimful with
fruition of their inner aspiration. I
am glad to invite you in this Mubarak and Auspicious occasion, if you or any of
your kith and kin intend to visit the holy shrine during urs or any other time
inform me so that I may make all your necessary arrangement of lodging and boarding
in Ajmer sharif. As
a true disciple and Khuddam of Huzoor Gharib Nawaz (R.A) and also having kinship
with the holy saint. I perform all the religious and spiritual services &
ceremonies at the Holy “CHISHTY DARBAR”, in case you find unable to
attend the occasion of urs you may take part by sending me your contribution for
Nazr-o-Neaz through cherub, postal-order or demand draft , through western union
or by transfaring the amount directly in my bank account so that you can earn
heavenly reward. Your contributions will be used in the Holy works connected with
the Darbar-e-Aulia during the URS and after that sacred tabarruk will be sent
to you by post but before taking any step please inform me. May
Allah Pak & Nabi-e-Karim(s.a.w) through the mediation of the blessing of Gharib
Nawaz Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty(R.A) pour fourth choicest blessing on you
and other members of your eminent family.
